We are excited to announce actress, model and humanitarian Molly Sims will be joining the SXSW Eco speaker lineup, moderating the highly anticipated session, "Toxins All Around Us: Safe, the New Sustainable" at the conference this year.
Noted for her savvy sense of style, Sims showcases these aspects on her website, MollySims.com, which offers original content on beauty, fashion, wellness and more. Molly will release her first book, The Everyday Supermodel: My Beauty, Fashion, and Wellness Secrets Made Simple in January 2015.
This panel will focus on the need to make “safe” the new “sustainable" and will help to bring to the forefront of the discussion the need to focus on the health implications of the products we all use everyday. It will discuss why exposure to small amounts of toxic chemicals everyday matters to our heath, and how toxins get into the products on store shelves in the first place. It will then dive into meaningful solutions—how we can make changes in our personal lives, businesses, and influence changes in legislation and in society to improve safety, health, quality of life and American innovation.
